ASP AUTO mode is also selectable. In this mode, the ASP is automatically activated when the transceiver detects weak signals in FM analog mode.
For intuitive and effortless operation, the PMG and MAG functions of the FTM-510DE ASP have been improved.
PMG (Primary Memory Group): Up to 5 VFO or Memory Channel frequencies can be assigned to the PMG (Primary Memory Group) and monitored. The reception status of the PMG channels is displayed with an orange/ gray-colored bar graph in the PMG screen. When a signal disappears, the bar graph color changes from orange to gray in real time. With the FTM-510DE ASP, the gray bar graphs (historical received signals) automatically fade out 2 seconds after a signal is lost. With the FTM-500DE, the gray bar graphs remain until they are manually reset by pressing the DIAL knob.
Other practical differences of the PMG function between the FTM-510DE ASP and the FTM-500DE are:
(Updated PMG in the FTM-510DE ASP)
AUTO Mode
The PMG channels are scanned and up to two channels with signals are simultaneously received and heard.
Transmission is automatically performed on the received channel.
MANUAL Mode
The PMG channel manually selected to transmit is always scanned and received. Other PMG channels are also scanned and a channel with signal can be received and heard at the same time.
The transmit channel is selectable by rotating the DIAL knob or touching the bar graph of the desirable channel in the PMG screen.
